About Living Waters Farms
Living Water Farms LLC is located in the heart of cattle country, just outside of Eureka Kansas in the Flint Hills.
Our Farm emerged from our family becoming more and more aware of where our food comes from. We realized the products we were eating were developed around an economic production rate which is has a goal of achieving an output rate at which an end-product can be manufactured at the least total cost. While I believe the U.S. has the best agricultural and food system on planet, we have exchanged quality for quantity and uniformity over the years.
The more we learned about it the more we felt like there had to be a better way, at least to provide food for our family, so we started gardening, and raising enough animals to provide a better option for ourselves, and while doing so we have drawn the interest of many friends and neighbors seeking better options for their family’s needs as well.
The level of interest we have received has encouraged us to grow beyond what we can provide for our family to provide an option for others as well. We are a very small operation looking to make sustainable growth in hope of being able to provide others with what God has provided to us.

Our Standards
Our standards are based on producing the healthiest and best tasting products we can. All Natural. We never use Hormones, Antibiotics, Pesticides, Steroids, or GMO.
We accomplish this by following some pre industrialized beef practices which take more time and input per pound of beef, but result in a healthy and delicious beef that you are proud to feed to your family.
Our herd is a heritage breed specifically selected for thriving on a natural grass based diet. The Dexter is a dual-purpose breed that is hardy, forage‑efficient, and has excellent maternal qualities. Our animals are gentle and friendly which allows us to manage them using low to no stress management practices.
Our cattle have continuous access to pasture 365 days a year. During the growing season they are fed on an abundance of fresh green grass and in winter are in the same pastures but supplemented with locally sourced hay, alfalfa, and an all-natural mineral and protein supplement. This keeps the animals in the best condition throughout the winter reducing the stress caused by lack of nutrition.
We provide the best grass for our cattle through Managed Intensive Rotational Grazing. This involves moving our cattle every few days with portable electric fencing, keeping the cattle moving away from their manure and onto clean fresh grass. This is not only beneficial for the cattle’s health, it’s also good for the land, allowing the pastures time to rest and recover.
Our cattle drink clean water from water tanks located throughout the pastures. Our ponds and creek are fenced off keeping the manure in the pasture where it is needed to fertilize the grass and out of the cattle’s water supply.
